| Bio: | Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I've been living in Europe for over eightyears, have learned to speak German (and forgotten much), French (but still remember big bits of it), and French Sign Language (FSL, still remember lots and use it as often as possible). Last November, I started to ponder if I was pondering what others pondered about pondering when they hit 30. I seem to seem a bit unseemly about that whole turning 30 thing. I'm okay about it, except for the guy the other week who guessed my age at 35. Admittedly, I have bad hair at the moment. My 'stable' 75 kilos became 80 over the last 9 months; I no longer have the gym physique, and while I'm not overweight, I'm not happy about going from a comfortable-in-size-30 to a definitely-needs-a-31 waistline. Oh, yeah. I'm gay. Gee-aye-why, and I ain't go no alibi. Out, loud, and proud. Came out late, at 21, and it was fucking difficult, and now that I'm here, I'll be damned if I'm climbing back into that closet for anybody, thankyouverymuch. I'm a Netscapee - escaped just after the AOL buyout, when the share price was good and the management was still shoveling fresh sewage in its press releases about how things weren't going to change. I was hurt deeply and personally when we were lied to, on direct interrogation of the offenders. It's still a sore spot. I'm about to become unemployed, and not feeling awful about the prospect. I spend a lot of time working on CrystalSpace, PlaneShift, and Mutella. That's about it, really. For the rest, get to know me. There's only so much that can be said without starting an autobiography - and isn't that the purpose of this journal? :) | |||||
